I'm having trouble with my JD 2520 front axle. I believe I broke some gears as the front wheels lock and won't move. I'm trying to remove the MFWD shaft (pictured below). I've removed the snap ring and roll pin from the shaft. I can't seem to move the shaft backwards off the input shaft at all. I've tried some tight hammering. I can't tell if there is slack in the rear to slide the shaft back? Am I missing something? Update 9/19/22 I ended up removing the entire front axle. Once free, the driveshaft at the rear slid off the spindle. I haven't been able to remove the front yoke from the front axle housing. The driveshaft is out obviously, but the shaft is still attached to the axle front case. Any suggestions to disassemble this?. The snap ring is off and the pin is removed. I've applied moderate hammer force to try to break it free without success. I did find the major failure. The gear inside the front axle, attached to the driveshaft failed. It looks like the bearing failed first and caused the gear to shear several teeth (picture attached) For reference. This little 2520 was being used to move earth in it's front bucket at a steep downward incline. I believe there was a failed oil seal on one side which caused a low oil condition. I also believe the lack of a vented axle contributed to leaking as it was being run under hot weather conditions. You can see this if you run your tractor and immediately open the oil fill, you'll likely get vent pressure when you open it. I have another issue near the spindle housing. The image below shows where the spindle oil seal rides. It's obviously corroded. Can this piece be replaced? The tech diagrams don't show this very well. This may be a part of the spindle (or gear housing in the parts diagram). I have ordered part# M80749 and I'm hoping this is the part I need for this. # [failed bearing.](https://preview.redd.it/hxc21djmcuo91.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dbf4162...
